Here it is, eleven days into the New Year, and already I feel like I am running to catch up. I couldn't find refill pages for my day timer at any local stores, so I ended up ordering them online. I am still waiting for them to arrive. (This is one disadvantage to living in a small town.) I have been working on my goals for 2011 for about a month, and I still haven't entirely resolved them. I have three exhibitions coming up in the next two months, and I haven't finished the paintings for them yet. I also have a ton of work to do on this blog, my website, etc. Yikes! But M leaves for Thailand tomorrow night, and then I will be glad for all of these busy tasks to take my mind off of the empty house. I know I will catch up soon. I always seem to pull it off, magically, somehow.
I have had the urge to paint large, and here is the first one of the large paintings:

Hi Karine - Yeah, 2011 is here. A co-worker is in the same spot. No planner for the new year can be found in local stores and we're in a "city" with 4 large office supply stores. She's ordering on-line too.
I signed up for a pottery class. I'm in it with two gals who took the same welding/sculpture as I. So far in the class I'm learning there's more to pottery than "Ghost" lead us to believe! Don't know where this class will take me, but at this point I'm thankful to have the opportunity to try clay.
Catch you later!

Your newest painting looks fabulous! I am trying to paint more this year but everytime I turn around someone is ordering cards,,,so what am I doing all week, painting papers for cards...atleast I am painting but not exactly what I had in mind.
The Easter Art Markets are in the beg. of April so I must restock the handbound book dept...of course I will paint a few bunnies....what is Easter without a bunny ,,,right:) I signed up for several Acrylic workshops from a fantastic teacher so that should be fun in Feb....busy, busy, busy as usual.
Have a creative week!!
Watch my blog...I am featuring your monoprint:)
Love this new piece Karine! I was surprised at how difficult it was to formalize my goals into a list, and of course I've tucked it away where it'd be safe and I can't find it!! Perhaps it wasn't such an accident ....
