Yellow Desert Flowers


Yellow flowers are sometimes difficult to identify. That's okay, they are still pretty. Lately, I have been fortunate enough to be interested in the same flowers as the bees!! The one directly below is bladderpod, I am quite sure. The one above is NOT in my flower book.





This last one is a poppy. More soon!

no problem, yellow flowers are called yellow flowers just as red flowers are called red flowers and all birds are either large,small, black or brown flapwings.
Yes, I'm no gardener but I like pretty things :-)

You might enjoy San Francisco State University's Bee Project. You get to plant sunflowers and then count the bees that visit.

Ah you have found more desert treasures Karine! beautiful. I just saw your ladybug cards on your etsy site - those are great. Ah the poppies - the California state flower! those are so fun to paint. I will be in CA soon and sure hope to see some.

I love the spring flowers, since ours are so late coming out! Love the bees and blooms! It's amazing now life springs out of the dessert in the spring! Thanks for posting all the wonderful photos!
