Experiments in video

I have recently been having fun with the camcorder on my phone. I wanted to share with you the experience of being under our Palo Verde Tree when it is in bloom and full of bees. It doesn't look good full screen, but at least you can hear the bees.

Cynthia, there was no stinging. I don't think bees will sting when they are happily collecting pollen. (Unless, of course, you swat at them.)

Holy cow!! Is the tree sweet smelling? Do they stay all summer? What a wonderful experience!

Patty, the blossoms will only last a couple of weeks, then they drop off and are replaced by seed pods. It does smell sweet!
